Joanne Bacourt is a surrealist painter. Her colorful paintings and emotional driven style pays homage to her homeland. Her distinctive personal style emanates her love of mixing elements of portraiture and street style, expressing the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of the Haitian culture.
The bold colors and at times contrasting themes tell stories through a specific lens of life and its experiences. Throughout her career Bacourt has received awards and prizes for her talent and believes that through this form of expression she could rewrite the world as she saw fit.
She earned a Bachelor of Business from Sanford- Brown — with honors and has remained a staple in galleries throughout the United States.
